Do you know how to be fearless in the face of fear? Have you ever wanted to be as bold and as brave as Esther?

Hey sis! Being fearless in the Lord is something that I have always wanted to be- to be able to stand up to anyone and declare my faith and my beliefs no matter what anyone or anything has to say about it. The thing is that many of us have grown up being fearful of something our entire lives.

In this time that we are living in, many Christians have grown so accustomed to being afraid to stand out, that instead of being set apart from this world, we blend in. We give up our voice and our will to live the life that God ordained for us from the beginning.

Well, I’m tired of it. I’m tired of seeing so many of us back down and give up when we are meant to fight. The bible wasn’t kidding when it says that we are no longer be slaves to fear because we are children of God, and I hope that this post helps you to learn how to be fearless in the face of fear.

Ever since the introduction of the novel coronavirus, the world has been brought to its knees. We’ve been asked to wear masks, stay 6 feet away from other people, stay home and wash our hands.

Though I can understand why we’ve been asked to do some of these things, I often wonder if we are being asked to do these things out of concern for personal safety or in as a means of having people live in constant fear for their lives.

Don’t get me wrong. The world can be a scary place with crime, corruption and its variety of diseases.

But as women of God, should we be living our lives as though we might get crushed by an asteroid or catch the virus any second? Or, should we be living from the standpoint that Jesus already has the victory so no matter what battle may come our way, God’s already won?

Contrary to what some may believe, God actually has a lot to say about being fearless. In the word of God, the bible, the words “do not be afraid” actually appears over 300 times. 365 times if I’m being specific.

That’s a daily source of encouragement for us as women of God.

Whenever we feel afraid or doubtful of what lies ahead, these verses should serve as a constant reminder that we as Christians should have no reason to fear.

If you are not convinced that God doesn’t want us to be afraid, here are 14 verses straight from the bible about courage in the face of fear:

“Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the Lord do that which seemeth him good.”

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

“Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.”

“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”

“Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.”

“His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.”

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”

“Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.”

And here is one of my favourites:

“ And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.”

The bible is basically telling us that because God is by our side, and because He fights all our battles, we have no reason to fear. Whenever fear comes knocking at the door of your heart, instead of cowering, send faith to go answer it.
